Address to Deanna and Ray on their Retirement from the
Pickwick Club Committee.
23rd AGM of The Pickwick Club, January 16th
2010 at The Centre, Corsham, Wilts.
and Ray pioneered the Pickwick Club in the autumn of 1985
with plenty of hard work, dedication, devotion and great
courage, to start up the club, which we all know and love
have remained stalwarts for 25 years, taking on various
positions on the committee and many hard and back-breaking
hours at our club site, often financing the initial outlay
from their own pockets.
has been done lovingly by them for us and our Club, so on
this very special evening when
they both stand down from committee I feel it most fitting
to say a very big and special thank you from us all, past
and present members, for absolutely everything that they
have done – and only they know how much!
will always be remembered, praised and admired for getting
our Club started, raising it like a child and maintaining
our high standards, friendly atmosphere and congenial
company. That’s what makes Pickwick so special!
will be sadly missed on committee, but do enjoy your new
freedom and, we will try to live up to your established high
standards, but please be ready to answer the odd question
from time to time. I am sure that we will still need your
guidance and experience.
accept this small gift from all your many friends at
Pickwick, with our thanks, our gratitude and love in
remembrance of your 25 years service.

||Many thanks for a lovely send off last night,
we were both very emotional. Here
are some pictures that we took
this morning with our presents, it was quite a laugh
when we did the timer ones when Raymond had to dash
and pose himself before the flash went off. As you
can guess there was a lot of deleted photos when he
just didn't get there in time...
Love Deanna & Raymond
We would like to thank all members past and present for the
lovely presents, cards and kind wishes which we received for
our retirement from the club following the meeting.
Thanks also to Irene for the cake.
We have had many challenges and enjoyable times, and have seen
many members come and go over the years, with many
long-lasting friendships’ made along the way, and hope to
continue to make many more friends at the swims and social
gatherings at the club site.
Our thanks also go to past and present members and committees,
who gave us their support, encouragement and advice over the
past 25 years and have helped us on the way, to establish a
welcoming and friendly club within the naturist movement.
are sure the club’s future is secure with the present
dedicated committee and with your continued support the club
will thrive for a further 25 years and longer.
you once more, and hope to see you all at the swim soon.
